Rock star romance.
I wish I was a rock star. If I can’t be a rock star and can’t date one…I might as well read rock star romance books. I’m surprised there aren’t any TV series around this topic. Someone needs to get on that. Rock on. Here’s the top 10 rock star romance books. Drop me a warm, smooth, punchy drum roll, please.
I like all of Singh’s books and this series is no exception. If you haven’t read her Psy Changling books, you must. They’re awesome, too. The first book in her newest series features h, Molly and H, Zachary Fox. He’s the tattooed bad boy rocker that Molly decides to break the rules with one night. Of course, one night isn’t enough and romance ensues.
Can a book from 2011 be a classic? Probably not…but this one has kind of reached cult status. I’ve read every book in this series and can definitely recommend them. Have you heard the name Kellan Kyle in the rock star romance circuit? This is him. He’s a hot local rock star with a tortured past. And the best friend of the boyfriend of the girl he likes. Got it. good.
Another great series. This first book features Evelyn and Rock God David. They meet one night in Las Vegas, they click, they get drunk and they get married. Ev is just 21, that’s why she was in Las Vegas partying it up. She doesn’t remember much about the night before, but David does. And he really likes her. He doesn’t want to rush into divorce and coaxes Ev out to LA where he works on getting her to remember that night and fall in love with him. Again. The beginning is sort of Hangover-esque…but it’s funny and then the rest of the book is emotional, real and sexy. Loved it!
This one is so sweet, a great start to a more tame but still steamy rock star romance series. See my review here. It’s about an up and coming young band. The H, Maddox, hides his celebrity status from his girlfriend and when she finds out, it’s explosive.
The lovely couple in this one is Tru and Jake. They used to be best friends, and Tru loved Jake. Jake is the sexy lead singer for The Mighty Storm. They haven’t seen each other in years. But, Tru works on a music column and is asked to interview him. Sparks fly. Tru has a boyfriend, she’s got a difficult choice to make. I bet you can’t guess which way she goes!
Again…read them all. What’s this one about? Laine is the good girl h, and Noel is the lead singer for Black Falcon. Laine broke his heart and Noel now sleeps around, as rock stars so famously do. He also has an awesome song that he sings at every concert. It’s call Ball Busting Bitch. #Ouch Is there hope for this couple? Yes. Yes, there is. Laine’s company flies her out to visit with Noel and try and win his business.
Ohhh…..these are especially dirty. Fair warning. They’re also super great. Sinners is the name of the band. The first book is Backstage Pass, and stars Brian Sinclair, lead songwriter/guitarist and Myrna Evans, psychologist. Get the boxed set and stay in one weekend. Binge read with a bottle of wine. You won’t regret it.
Olivia Cunning does it again with this rock star romance series. They’re super steamy, too! #FanningMyselfAtTheMemory Whew…..
The band is Sole Regret and the first book is Try Me. The h, Melanie, isn’t into the band thing, but her groupie best friend is and hooks up with the lead singer. Melanie thinks she’s found the only sane normal band member in Gabe. But, he’s not what he seems. I’m going to leave it at that. Use your imagination. Read the entire series by the pool on a hot day with some sangria.
Read my review here. Great series! Rush is the 24 year old H, and while not a rock star, his dad is in a big famous bad boy (or bad man…as they’re a bit on the old side) band. Rush still has that cocky rock boy attitude. Blaire, the h, is 19 and has just lost her mother to cancer. She travels from small town Alabama to Rosemary Beach to find her dad, who divorced her mom years ago. Instead she finds her hot stepbrother, Rush, who isn’t super inclined to help innocent young Blaire out.
I haven’t read this one yet, its on my TBR list. Looks good. I think I’m just going to buy it right now. Here’s the story…he was never supposed to be a rock star. He had his whole life all planned out. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry his high school sweetheart and live happily ever after. He broke her heart, and poured all of his soul into his music. This one has an athlete and rock star vibe. #I’mSoIn
