A big thanks to special guest blogger Kismet. Be sure to follow her on Twitter. She REALLY liked super sexy Scars and Secrets by Avril Ashton. Hmmm…this one’s going on the TBR list.
You know I love my men! I have been waiting for Van/Levi since I don’t know when. This story did not disappoint. I know Avril Ashton thought that this book was not angsty enough, but I tell you what, she was wrong.
Waiting for the moment Levi would/could forgive Van was both compelling and heartbreaking. However when it did happen, it was the most EXCITING sex scene ever. You will never look at an elevator again.
It was the sweetest thing I had ever read. The story opened up with the way they met, we should all be so lucky to meet the love of our life at the grocery story, true it turned out to be a set up, but that is neither here nor there…lol. You could feel the heat from moment one. That Avril Ashton shonuff knows what she is doing. I loved the visits from some of the old crew and his new relationship with Israel. I certainly did not expect that after watching Israel learn that information way back, but when push came to shove, he made things happen for his little brother, his man Reggie is nothing to play with either. The way he is always down for Israel, makes you want to find your own version of a Reggie too.
Did I mention the sex scenes are off the chart between them as well?
If carnality in all of its awesomeness is not for you, then you should just stop reading, take a nap and definitely stay away from salads. If you read the book, you will definitely get the reference. Dima and X make a quick appearance as does Syren. In a bit of foreshadowing we learned Dutch’s real name, so you know his story has to be super crazy too.
Mostly though, this was about Levi/Van forgiving themselves and being grown up enough to forgive and move forward since their pride is what kept them apart for so long. If you are a fan of the entire series starting with Angelo and Gabe you will not be disappointed. This is a must have, Bring on Dutch!
